Information about the AGK

  • Our club "Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus e.V." was founded 2002 in Neuruppin (Germany) by a group of card board model fans especially interested in historic card board models.
  • The purpose of our club is to promote research on the history of cardboard modeling.
  • Our club has about 160 members (including 9 institutional ones) from Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, France, Austria, Italy, Spain and 5 additional countries.
  • We are registered at the Handelsregistergericht Esslingen under the register number VR 1579 and approved by the fiscal authorities as a non-profit institution of public utility. The annual membership fee for single persons amounts to 25 Euro. For pairs/families the fee amounts to 40 Euro, and companies have to pay 50 Euro.

    • Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Stopfel (Freiburg), formerly responsible for historic preservation in the Freiburg branch, collector of card models li>
    • Up to her death, Prof. Dr. Christa Pieske (Lübeck), founder and former president of the 'Arbeitskreis Bild Druck Papier', also has been a member of our advisory council.
