The AGK at the modell-hobby-spiel 2008 fair in Leipzig



For the first time in the year 2008, the AGK was present with an own stand on the modell-hobby-spiel exhibition in Leipzig. Our board member Heiko Schinke presented our publications their. He also demonstrate our cardboard modell database, and presents hot off the press reprints of historic cardboardmodells. There was a huge interest for the reprint of the oldest known cardboardmodell, a sundial crucifix from the year of 1529. This cardboardmodell was found by members of the AGK, in the German National museum in Nürnberg. More detailed information about the crucifix can be found in book 4 of our publication series. The most successfully cardboardmodel was not even an historic one, but a small marble run off cardboard. Our member Harro Reimer had designed this cardboardmodel, and several hundred copies from this model was give away for free. What a fun for the young and the young at heart.
