  006-07-09 – Vol. 5 of our magazine 'Zur Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus' published
The "Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus (AGK) e.V." is pleased to announce vol. 5 of our annual magazine "Zur Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus". Like its predecessors it collates numerous articles by several authors on the research of the history of card modeling.

  2005-09-25 – AGK publishes card model prints from the unpublished estate of Hubert Siegmund
The Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus (AGK) e.V. has issued the unpublished "Villa Blumenthal" model. As a rule, Hubert Siegmund (1916-1989) designed his models strictly as ordered by his employer, J. F. Schreiber. However, from time to time he designed a model from his own initiative and presented it to Gerhard Schreiber with the recommendation to have it published. Most of his recommendations were taken, but not all; exactly why "Villa Blumenthal" did not make it to the press is unknown. In hindsight one is inclined to believe that this somewhat bizarre architectural model would have been a market opportunity.

The "Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus (AGK) e.V." is pleased to announce vol. 4 of our annual magazine "Zur Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus". The multitude of topics shows again the many aspects of the research on the history of card modeling.

  2004-10-15 – AGK members discovered the earliest know card model
During the 2004 annual meeting of the "Arbeitskreises Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus" we discovered the earliest known card model print at the Germanischen Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg. When assembled, the woodcut printed on cardboard forms a sundial in the form of a crucifix. The Latin inscription at the bottom names the mathematician Georg Hartmann of Nuremberg and dates the print in "the year of the siege" ("Anno obsidionis").
